The Probound Sportswear Florida Bowl at the Raymond James Stadium on March 24th is a collegiate all-star game featuring draft eligible players from the state of Florida vs. players from across the nation.  The game will provide players visibility and access to professional GM’s, Scouts and personnel in a professional setting. Each player is selected on their athletic ability as well as their character and community involvement. It is their mission to provide athletes with the knowledge and opportunity to interview and showcase their athletic skills through a national amateur competition, along with the voice and the stage to scream to the world, “I”M ON MY WAY”!

Direct from Broadway, John Leguizamo’s Ghetto Klown comes to Tampa Bay’s Straz Center on March 8th! Ghetto Klown is the next chapter in John Leguizamo’s popular personal and professional story. It is his fifth one-man play, his third on Broadway, and follows in the uninhibited tradition of his Mambo Mouth, Spic-O-Rama, Freak, and Sexaholix…a Love Story. In Leguizamo’s trademark style, the piece explodes with energy, heating up the stage with vivid accounts of the colorful characters who have populated his life. Heroes On The Water

While kayaking at Weeden Island this past weekend, Tampa To Do had the pleasure of meeting the men and women of Heroes on the Water, a national organization dedicated to restoring warrior’s hearts through kayak fishing. On January 7th the Suncoast Chapter hosted a Free Kayak Fishing Event for our military wounded service people. Special thanks to Joe Molinard (veteran), Greg Hutchins (veteran), Will Clark (veteran), Paul Fugate (veteran), Bruce Judd (volunteer), and Sammie & Tammy (volunteers).

The Real Music Concert Series

The Real Music Concert Series, including Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s longest running Big Bands concert series, returns to the Stanleyville Theater Wednesdays through Saturdays with incredible swing, blues, pop, jazz, rock ‘n roll and disco from some of music’s most memorable eras. This year we have The Terry Myers Orchestra with The Swing Sisters, The Glenn Miller Orchestra with the Diamonds, Tony Orlando, and Frankie Avalon. The Real Music Concert Series kicks off on January 18 and runs through March 24, 2012.
